Spring in New York has a way of making everything feel softer, lighter, and a little more romantic. We chose my favorite spot in NYC, Central Park. It gave us space to breathe while still nodding to the energy and style of a classic NYC wedding. Scott and Julie were completely at ease with one another, which made space for the kinds of candid wedding photos that really tell a story. I shot on both 35mm and medium format film, letting the process slow us down and giving the images that soft, intentional film aesthetic that never feels trendy, just real. Sessions like this remind me why I gravitate toward film wedding photography and storytelling that’s rooted in what’s real.
Scott and Julie's engagement session captured the kind of honest, unscripted connection I always aim for—images that don’t just look beautiful, but feel like the couple. Whether you're planning an outdoor ceremony, a modern bride moment in the heart of Manhattan, or something somewhere in between, choosing a film wedding photographer with a documentary approach means your photos reflect not just how it looked, but how it felt.
